BCIT students walk the walk as they release adult salmon into Guichon Creek - an urban waterway - for the first time in decades. It is part of a project to track the fish as they make their way up the creek. The project is a community effort that will help ascertain if a fish ladder is a viable project to help the fish return to their natural spawning grounds on the BCIT campus.
Each year, the Marketing Management - Communications students and faculty host Schmoozapalooza, a networking fundraising event aimed at pairing student interns with internship sponsors, all while raising money for their student awards endowment fund. The 2009 event took place on December 3rd at the Westin Bayshore Vancouver.
