Acupressure points along the upper shoulders and low back can be very useful for inducing labor if you are post date. These points are also effective for easing pain once labor has begun. GB 21 on the upper traps really helps descend the baby and also feels great during contractions. Try massaging the points for 10 minutes at a time to induce labor.
LI 4 is located between the thumb and index finger. Due to it's descending action, this point is especially effective for helping induce labor and easing labor pain during contractions. Many people also use this point for relief from headaches. Continual massage through contractions is very helpful. For induction alternate LI4 with SP 6 on the leg, in 10 minute intervals.
Some acupressure points are really useful if you are post date-meaning past 40 weeks. This video shows some points on the lower legs such as SP6, UB60, UB67 and KI1. Massage one point for 10 minutes at a time. SP 6 is the most important.
